Matthew V. Pavese
Matthew V. Pavese, has been with Susan E. Loggans & Associates, P.C. since October 2016, he concentrates in personal injury litigation. Matt hails from Tampa, Florida, and went to college at the University of Florida before attending law school at Florida Coastal''s School of law. During law school he was a member of the school's Moot Court Honor Board, where he served as an oral advocate and brief writer. Matt, passed the Florida Bar in 2011 and began his career in the Sunshine State.
Initially, Matt served as a prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in Panama City, FL. There he handled cases ranging from misdemeanors such as DUIs to felonies including drug trafficking and sexual assault. As a prosecutor he served as first chair on numerous jury trials. After three years prosecuting, Matt moved on to the Attorney General's Office where he worked as an appellate attorney for the State of Florida. While there, Matt wrote and argued briefs to sustain criminal convictions on appeal. This afforded him the oppurtunity to argue multiple cases in front of Florida's Supreme Court and 1st District Court of Appeals.
In both of these pursuits Matt was able to garner success on new and novel cases. Matthew was recognized for his work as a prosecutor on a case involving a local resident who defrauded the Wounded Warrior Project. Further, as an appellate attorney Matt successfully upheld the verdict of Michael Dunn the "loud music killer," where Mr. Dunn had been convicted of shooting into a car of teens for playing their music too loudly, killing one of the passengers, Jordan Davis.
Excited to work for Susan E. Loggans & Associates, P.C., Matt moved to Chicago in October 2016. Matt handles a multitude of personal injury cases, including automobile negligence, slip and fall, product liability, premises liability cases and any other type of negligent activity which results in serious injury or wrongful death. Matt is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Florida, and Federal Court. Matt is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
